Social Distancing: A Covid-19 Gallery

Shavua Tov.

I have been thinking a great deal lately about social distancing and what that means. We are so accustomed to being together. Connected at the hip, whether in classrooms, parks, restaurants, homes, subway cars, stadiums, clubs, houses of worship, theaters. When that is removed from us, what does that mean? How do we re-accustom ourselves to this newly prescribed distance which will save us? Six feet is the new buzz word. Social isolation, social distancing, sheltering in place, all terms we have become all too familiar with this past week. I think that today was the first time that I really felt that distance. Words aren't working tonight, but I did think that I would try to communicate these feelings through photos.

I have many, many photos and I looked through them this evening. I have chosen a few to put up as a gallery which express relationships through space. How are we connected? How do we overlap? How does space connect us? Do our new spaces limit us or free us?

I'd love to hear from you what you think or if you have a photo that you would like to add to my gallery that expresses the same feeling, please send it to me.
