This was written pre-dawn on the 39th day of counting the omer.
Tashma.
Come and listen.
The robin is teaching.
A solitary voice trills clear and true in
the early morning darkness.
The robin’s tunes are so poignant,
so sweet;
the birds in surrounding trees
respond in song.
His predawn lessons a mystery to us,
but to the birds they are Torah;
the secrets of The Zohar revealed.
One voice in the darkness,
followed by the many.
One hears but does not see.
Perhaps this is the entrance to The Garden.
All before dawn.
Fear not.
You are not alone.
