It's amazing how one small cashew in the palm of my hand makes me happy.

The splash of sweetness of one raisin.

The bittersweet of a chocolate chip.

One salty puff of popcorn.

A single shell from the beach.

A smooth stone with flecks of mica.

A curled red pepper from the garden.

A handful of lavender.

A few bean seeds to plant.

A hand in mine.

It doesn't take much.

Happiness in the palm of one hand.

Look for the small.

As it says,

It is not on the other side of the sea,*

It is not in the sky,*

but maybe just in the palm of our hand.

What's in your hand?

With wishes to all of you for a happy, peaceful and healthy year to come.

Thank you for taking the time to read these posts.

May you all find happiness in the small; even in the palm of your hand.
